About Me

Hi I’m Destiny Henderson-Hudgins, the writer, photographer, and illustrator behind We Are Ecosystem Engineers and the Eco Studio. Professionally, I’m a biologist and during a time where finding work in my field has become increasingly difficult, I refuse to sit and let things pass me by. So I continue to learn, and create and work in conservation where I can.

That’s why I started We Are Ecosystem Engineers. I was going stir crazy not being in the field I loved and doing the research I loved so I got started and am sharing what I learn with others. At the end of the day I want people to love all wildlife like I do, no matter how creepy, crawly, or odd.
